The shift from the central processing chip to the graphics chip looks like one of the more likely technology changes to bet on in recent years, said Tim Siglin, a a business and technology consultant to startup companies.
"The GPU already sits in every computer out there," he said. "You've got a whole lot of extra, unused horsepower on the graphics card."
